Refreshing and of Wonder

The concept of a 3D and sidescrolling game sounds quite rare, even today. If it shares the elegance that Donkey Kong Country had, it's all right in my book. There's a feel about this work where it's as if the character or surrounding scene is constantly in motion, like a shoot-em up, as not all shmups necessarily have to have music that's full of action and edge-of-your-seat tensity.
I could see this work featured in a top-down adventure/RPG like Secret of Evermore, if that could more accurately describe what your friend's game looks like.

The inclusion of the string section alongside the piano gives off a feeling that I can't quite describe. It seems as if this addition seems to emphasize, at least for a time, that these answers and questions that the girl is looking for, are vital to her survival, and/or she's faced with many dangers, on her journey, which sounds a bit dramatic, in the least for this game.

I wish the friend (and the character) luck in coming to a satisfying finish!

Great use of General MIDI

I was real curious to see if there were actual uploads of [originally] General MIDI tunes. This is a real treat. Nowadays, I tend to associate General MIDI tunes if they are geared toward game music use, as RuneScape (or more recently RPG Maker) music, not to mean that in a negative way, however; General MIDI just seems to be a rare gem in today's gaming life.

I this is incredible sound quality for a MIDI, and I think JaGEx would be happy to hire someone like yourself into their audio team, if they are indeed looking for new musicians. Loops never really seemed to catch on in their tunes, but this one does a fine job of demonstrating one darn near seamlessly!

Well! I thank you for your nice contribution! I had no other choice at this time. My computer was a 366 mhz scrap heap and midi a funny last resort.
Right now I'm trying Soundfonts, which sound exactly like GM but they are editable(but only with Soundblaster sound cards).

Just a person that one day looks forward to making music for games.
