Please bring this to Va-11 Hall-A, if you can!

Beautiful song!

Reminds me a lot of Stella Magic Temple from Dark Cloud 2, but different enough to be it's own song.

The vocals among the other instruments were a very nice touch. Happy holidays, LadyArsenic!

LadyArsenic responds:

=) Thanks so much. I didn't make the connection before but now that you mention it I can totally hear a resemblance to Stella Magic Temple. Thanks for listening <3

Any of these instruments live? This sounds like a big step up from what I've heard from you in the past.

-Kurisu

headphoamz responds:

Hey, thank you! And nope, nothing is live except the singing, in some parts.

No more Miroslav Philharmonik? "-Them-" came to mind while listening to this...

-Kurisu

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

I still use Miroslav Philharmonik once in a while.

And how this reminded you of "Them" is beyond me. The two are like total opposites.

Gone back-to-roots, huh? Hey that's not bad. In fact I don't think I could agree more with much of what you've said in your Author Comments. Music should be an enjoyable thing to do and not really something that feels like a job, unless of course it's your actual career.

Like some of the synths you've got here; I remember the whirly one being used in Phyrnna's "DFOTM".

Keep doing what you're doing. You know, even as a career, if you enjoy making music, it's never really a job to make stuff. Just be you.

The late great Richard Joseph said it best "...do what I did, and do what no one else is doing". You don't need to find your audience, your audience will find YOU.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Indeed.

'Tis expanded, not extended but yeah it's cool. Add some cowbell to it, and it'll be a REAL keeper!

ex·tend·ed

adjective
made larger; enlarged.
"an extended kitchen and new balcony"
lasting longer than is usual or expected; prolonged.
"an extended period of time"

Nah, it's extended.

Hmm, this is something different indeed. A dub 'n' bass track with a twist o' chill!

The synths are very well crafted and communicate okay with each other. One synth sounds like it could have more presence.

The hiss effects give some nice element to the song overall.

The wobble itself is something different, very acidic and a bit hissy. The soothing drum transition that closes the song is very neat.

I look forward to hearing more experiments like this.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Glad you like it. More experiments to come, I'm sure.

Really nice stuff. Don't believe I ever played this particular megaman on the SNES, but it sounds really good, and the looping is darn near seamless.

Your taste in games is really something else. The MIDI drums actually don't sound too much different from the drums I believe that are used by the SPC700.

Keep it up.

Reminds me quite a bit of your MemoHuntress music, namely the title theme! If it's going to be a flash game, I do look forward to it!

-Kurisu

The intro regions remind me a bit of the practically random and irregular rhythmic bass intro one of the stage boss themes from Imperium had.

The speed up is okay; It helps to change the perspective of the loop in a way.

The strings aren't bad. I understand this isn't mix/mastered or w/e, but it sounds just enough okay that my super deep bass Moguls can at least hear the strings...a bit.

Can't wait to find out what you'll ultimately do with this newly discovered instrument in the future...

-Kurisu

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Omnisphere isn't really newly discovered, I've been using it for a while now... just... I haven't really posted anything while using it.

But yes, you will hear more stuff created with Omnisphere (and lots of it) in the future.

Just a person that one day looks forward to making music for games.
